Warm Poached Dates with Olive Oil & Desert Dust

Dates belong beyond the snack bowl. Warm them briefly in simmering water, drizzle with olive oil and finish with the Desert Dust blend you like.

Ingredients

  • 12 dates, such as Medjool or Deglet Noor
  • Desert Dust, your choice of blend
  • Olive oil, for drizzling; citrus olive oil is suggested in the original
  • Water, for poaching

Directions

  1. Bring water to a simmer in a pan.
  2. Add the dates and cook for 3–5 minutes to warm them through.
  3. Strain the dates and let them rest for 2 minutes.
  4. Plate the dates, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with Desert Dust.

Keep in mind

  • Allow 2 minutes for the dates to rest after poaching.
  • Use Medjool, Deglet Noor or another date variety.
