Desert Dusted Paloma

A grapefruit Paloma with a little Dust around the edge. Lime keeps it sharp, agave rounds it out and sparkling water finishes the glass.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces blanco tequila
  • 2 ounces grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce agave nectar
  • 1 ounce Topo Chico sparkling water
  • Desert Dust, for the rim
  • Grapefruit wedge, for the rim and garnish
  • Ice, to fill the glass

Directions

  1. Rub the rim of a highball or margarita glass with a grapefruit wedge. Dip the rim into a shallow plate of Desert Dust.
  2. Add the tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave nectar and sparkling water to the glass.
  3. Stir to combine, then add ice to fill the glass.
  4. Garnish with grapefruit and serve.

Keep in mind

  • The original introduction also offers mezcal as an alternative to tequila.
  • Stir the sparkling water into the glass; do not shake a sealed container of sparkling liquid.
